My name is Rochelle Hebert and I love teaching! This will be my seventh year teaching fourth grade at Valley View.
I grew up in Nebraska in a family of 7 children. My mom was a teacher and I always wanted to be a teacher as well! I graduated from the University of Nebraska earning a BA Degree in Education and a Minor in Early Childhood. I have taught Title One Reading, 2nd grade, 4th grade, and even preschool. But, I have to tell you 4th grade is my favorite age to teach.
My husband Jason and I met in college at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. After college we moved to Lawrence, KS and then Newport Beach, CA before we moved to Austin 8 years ago. We enjoy being a part of the Cuernavaca community and spending time down by the lake. Jason and I have been married for 23 years and have been blessed with 3 children. Elle, a senior at Westlake, Ethan, a sophomore at Westlake, and Hannah a 7th grader at West Ridge. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, baking, crafting, and exploring Austin, but mostly just spending time with my family and friends.
I look forward to meeting all of my new students and getting to know them and their families. Fourth grade is a lot of fun and I am so excited to be a part of it! This is going to be the best year ever!
